  On arrival the hotel looked really nice from the outside and when we checked in, the manager was welcoming and showed me and my partner to our superior room, which was better than we expected.We decided to have dinner elsewhere even though the hotel menu had something for everyone.
  We had to be up fairly early, but the breakfast was worth the wait and had a good variety to choose from.
  Overall our one night stay was excellent, we would recommend this to anyone, and hopefully stay again soon.

  We had a warm welcome from the owner, and our room was immaculate and comfortable. The food excelled our expectations-it was excellent. The menu is extensive and imaginative. The roast lamb was the best we've had, and the and the service was excellent- friendly, with attention to detail. Breakfasts were good too, with a wide choice available. We enjoyed our first stay in Grange, and found it a good place to be for a winter break. There are lovely places to walk and visit in the area and only half an hour to the heart of the Lake District. We came home feeling very relaxed.
